Virtues of Fasting on the Day of Arafah
Abu Qatada (Allah be pleased with him) related that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him, his family, and companions) said, “Fasting the Day of `Arafah [9th of Dhul-Hijjah] expiates for two years, one prior and one forthcoming. And fasting the Day of `Ashura [10th of Muharram] expiates for the past year.”
[Reported by Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, and Ibn Majah]

Fast with us on the Day of Arafat
Insha’Allah the Day of Arafat, the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage, will be on Friday, July 8, 2022.
The Day of Arafah is one of the most important days of the Islamic calendar. This makes it potentially one of the most important days of our lives. On this day, the good deeds that we do are magnified and our supplications are very likely to be accepted.

It was narrated that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said of fasting on the Day of Arafah: “It expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year.”

ISB has put together a special program to help you all take advantage of this great day.
