Welcome to the ISB Community Health Clinic
"Health for All"
The Islamic Society of Baltimore (ISB) Community Health Center promotes health and wellness by providing quality services, at no charge, to people without access to basic care. We accomplish this through our physicians, nurses, and staff who work with care, compassion, and competence and by respecting the dignity of each individual; serving a diverse community; working collaboratively with volunteers; fostering individual and community partnerships and; responding to the changing health and wellness needs of the community.
Clinic and Education
The ISB Community Health Clinic provides clinical services on Sundays from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and on Mondays & Wednesdays from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Patients can schedule an appointment or walk-in to be cared for by our staff. Our website also provides you information and resources to understand and manage your chronic condition (such as diabetes).
The Community Health Center (CHC) is a private, non-profit entity under the sponsorship of the Islamic Society of Baltimore, a 501(c)(3) organization. CHC was founded by a group of concerned citizens to meet the health needs of the community of the Baltimore County and the surrounding area.
CHC relies on volunteers and staff to reach out to people of all ages and walks of life that have difficulty accessing healthcare due to financial constraints or lack of insurance coverage.
Viewed as the net beneath the 'safety net providers' of the public health system, the ISB Community Health Center currently operates out of one facility with a vision to open a satellite facility in Baltimore City.
The ISB Community Health Center opened on August 21, 2006 and has been providing free healthcare to the uninsured.
In March of 2007 the ISB Community Health Center which was previously located within the ISB School and comprised of one room moved its operations into an independent location adjacent to ISB.
CHC is committed to providing quality, compassionate, free health care, in a non-judgmental environment, to anyone in the community who is without access to basic care.

Eating Right for Diabetes
Your doctor can work with you to help you manage your diabetes. By managing it well, you can prevent many other conditions related to diabetes.
A major part of treating diabetes depends how well you understand your condition and how you can make changes in your lifestyle to prevent other conditions that diabetes can cause. Without proper management diabetes can effect your eyesight and in some cases lead to blindness, effect how well your kidneys can function, and damage your nerves and reduce sensations in your hands and feet, and can increase your risk of a heart attack. View these videos to see how you can eat healthy, do more exercise, and take control of your diabetes and stay healthy.
