Meet Sh. Ieasha Prime, New ISB Resident Scholar & Curriculum Director!
We are excited to announce that Alhamdulilah, Shaykha Ieasha Prime will be serving as an official ISB Resident Scholar and Curriculum Director! Her first time speaking as a member of our community will be at the Night of Divine Inspiration on the 24th- Meet her there and see what she’s all about!
A renowned speaker and educator, Shaykha Ieasha has received several scholarly licenses (ijaza). She studied Arabic and Quran at the Fajr Institute in Cairo, Egypt. Later, she moved to Hadramaut, Yemen and enrolled in Dar al Zahra, an Islamic University for Women. There, she studied Aqeedah, Quran, Hadith, Arabic, Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Islamic law, Purification of the Heart, and more. She converted to Islam over 20 years ago, and the majority of her life has been spent as an educator and activist. She’s been involved in the founding and leadership of numerous Islamic organizations, and is passionate about the courses she teaches on traditional knowledge, the challenges of race and gender in the Muslim community, and Spirituality. Ieasha Prime is a proud wife and mother of three children.
