FOUR DAY CALLIGRAPHY COURSE FROM WEDNESDAY 7/5 TILL SATURDAY 7/8
This is a special intensive course offering unique skills in the techniques of Arabic calligraphy taught by the renowned Muslim Chinese calligrapher, Haji Noor Deen. Students will learn two simple scripts, Thuluth and classical Chinese-Arabic script. Come learn and discover the beauty, depth, and spiritual meanings behind Islamic art and writing that has shaped the Muslim world for over a thousand years. Students will gain a profound appreciation for the artistic and elegant dimensions of the Islamic civilization through direct one-to-one training. This course will afford all an opportunity to become apprentices of Islamic calligraphy under a recognized master from the far eastern part of the Muslim world. Seats are limited. There are two options for you to take this 4 day long course. Morning classes will be held each day from 10:00 AM till 1:00 PM. These classes may be ideal for students on summer break. Evening classes held each day from 6:30 PM till 9:30 PM may be more suitable for adults who work in the daytime.
Do I need any prior calligraphy experience before taking this class?
The morning classes will be beginner level and require no prior experience. Depending on student interest, we may tailor the evening class to be intermediate level where it is assumed you are familiar with simple Arabic script.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Registration is open to youth above the age of 10 years old.

Where is my tuition money going towards?
Your tuition fees cover the costs of class supplies such as ink, pens, and paper. In addition, each student will receive a course booklet which is theirs to keep.
